Whisper wind turbines are manufactured in Flagstaff, Arizona by Southwest Windpower. The Whisper line of wind turbines includes the Whisper 100, Whisper 200, and Whisper 500. All make an excellent addition to an existing solar array using the Whisper Controller.

Whisper Wind Generators are designed for continuous, quite operation by incorporating a direct drive, brushless permanent magnet alternator (3-phase). They are fabricated using stainless steel or aluminum cast and all bearings are sealed for high reliability and low cost.

The AC voltage from Whisper wind generators is unregulated and therefore requires the rectification to DC before it can be used to charge batteries. The Whisper Controller provides this function and is included with each Whisper wind turbine, unless specifically order otherwise.
